All I can say is... WOW, what a great 10 days that was! It was so much fun meeting peers who share the same passion as you. Everyone was of such high caliber, I was honestly undergoing imposter syndrome haha. But in general, everyone was so kind and respectful to one another.

The first day in the dorms was so hectic because in the second floor lounge, people just kept on coming in waves of people. That tiny lounge in Walsh Hall filled with that many people felt like a fire hazard! But it was so cool to meet and talk with literally anyone and everyone at that moment. It felt a lot like the first day at Culver orientation where we say our name, where we're from, and why we came.

Our professors Carl Ackerman and Mark Dumich are such great teachers! I was skeptical at first because I only heard nothing but praise for the both of them, but I can see why. They are so engaging and you really feel like they care about you as a person. They really made our experience at NDLS!

But of course, it was also the students who made NDLS what it was. It took a few days but I found my people at this summer program, and they are the funniest and kindest people I've ever met. I'm glad Notre Dame brought us together. We got so close that I'm most definitely inviting these girls to my wedding!!

But all that being said, I had a 10000/10 experience at NDLS. The Basilica and the Grotto were glistening and such a peaceful space for prayer - even milkshake mass was a memorable experience. The dining hall staff were also so sweet when I talked to them and asked them about their day. Literally everyone on that campus lives and breathes the Notre Dame mission of community and love. I'll at least visit it one more time since I'm only an hour away at Culver Academies!!
